JaxPAL Teen Leadership Program
JaxPAL has been providing the teen leadership program for more than 17 years. The program is designed to assist youth between the ages of 13 and 18 in developing important skills for success in college, the workforce and life. JaxPAL/JSO officers and staff oversee the program and act as mentors to the teens.
The goal of the program is to provide teens with leadership, social, and professional skills needed for their transition to adulthood. The teens run their own meetings, work on community service projects, and participate in leadership workshops and conferences.

18th Annual Youth Directors Conference
Our JaxPAL teens attended the 18th Annual Youth Directors Conference June 30 – July 3, at the beautiful Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort and Conference Center. They earned the right to attend due to their hard work throughout the year and volunteer service in our community.
This year’s conference theme was Lost in Emotions and the teens were engaged through a series of workshops which covered topics such as: self defense, domestic violence and teen dating violence, diversity, and life after high school. After the workshops and trainings, our teens were able to experience the magic of Disney.
We are excited to report that after several weeks of practice to perfect their routine, our JaxPAL teens won the Lip Sync Battle competition the first night of the conference. Way to go JaxPAL Teens!
