For the youth who live in our city’s toughest neighborhoods, exposure to crime, violence, gangs, and drugs is just the reality of everyday life. Statistics show that the hours spent outside of school (afternoons and summer months) are when kids are at the highest risk of becoming involved with crime, drugs, and gangs.

JaxPAL is working to break that cycle by filling those out-of-school hours with safe, positive, and productive activities. We provide countless opportunities for kids and officers to come together and form positive, lasting, relationships. Through our outreach initiatives, JaxPAL and JSO Officers and staff are able to engage with kids during these most crucial hours, and during their most impressionable and formative years. Our staff and JSO officers strive to equip today’s at-risk youth with the skills they need to become tomorrow’s leaders!
