MobilePAL enables JaxPAL to expand our capacity by taking our mission of creating positive relationships between law enforcement and youth beyond our service walls and into the community. Through MobilePAL, JaxPAL/JSO police officers are able to take the JaxPAL mission of fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and youth into the community. During MobilePAL, JaxPAL/JSO officers spend quality time with children, provide them with lunch and/or snacks, read books to them, and engage them in sports and fun activities. MobilePAL provides these children the opportunity to witness and experience positive police interactions, humanize the officers, and engage in direct positive dialogue.

Through our 2016 summer initiative, MobilePAL made eight stops throughout the community and reached 878 citizens (705 children and 173 adults) who reside in some of the city’s toughest neighborhoods.
