Mentoring

The JaxPAL Mentoring Program offers children extra guidance and support through a one-on-one relationship with an adult mentor. A meaningful, monitored, and carefully matched relationship helps motivate each child to overcome obstacles, realize their potential, and become a productive, successful adult.

The JaxPAL Mentoring ProgramĀ is not an academic tutoring program. Each mentor visits a child twice a month for one hour. Mentoring activities may include anything from reading and doing arts and crafts to learning about different cultures and playing sports. All mentor applicants go through a screening process and a Level II background check before acceptance into the program.

Lonnie

I enrolled my son in JaxPAL because it is the best afterschool program. Since being at JaxPAL, his behavior has changed a lot. Being in a disciplined environment with a staff who take the time and special interest with him has made a huge difference.
